AIA HSW/SD Program # LCAL10 (1.0 LU) USGBC Approved for 1.0 GBCI CE Hours

  2. By comparing the previous version of LEED (LEED 2.2) with the most recent one (LEED 2009), the participant will be able to identify the key changes in LEED 2009 that affect the design and construction, or major renovation, of commercial buildings.
  3. Using the LEED green building rating system, the participant will be able to determine how light controls and their manufacturer can effectively contribute to LEED certification in new construction and major renovation projects.
  4. Through examination of the provided case study, the participant will be able to describe how the Plaza at PPL Center used lighting controls to meet LEED certification objectives.

We strive to increase the integrity of our profession by playing an active role in initiating, reviewing, and acting upon legislation that is brought before local jurisdictions and the State Legislature as well as educating members of the profession and local legislature.  We want to work collaboratively with the other regulated design professionals, such as architects, engineers, landscape architects, and surveyors, and spread the message that Certified interior designers are a vital part of the design team and seek to work positively with all other professionals in our industry.
